CoAsia CM Korea, a wholly owned subsidiary of CoAsia CM, announced on July 1 that it has appointed former Samsung Electronics Vice President Sohn Ho-Sung as its new CEO to reinforce its core camera module business competitiveness and expand its next-generation business portfolio. CEO Sohn is an expert who led major projects, including smartphone camera development at Samsung Electronics, and possesses extensive experience across the overall business.
 

The global smartphone market has recently been shifting rapidly from competition based on shipment volume to a structure focused on premium products and profitability. As rapid technological responsiveness to customer requirements and collaboration capabilities with key customers have become major differentiating factors, the industry is placing greater importance on integrated capabilities that connect product development from the initial design stage through mass production.
