CoAsia CM Korea Mass-Produces Robotics 3D ToF Modules

Date 2026.09.14

  • - Signs robotics ToF 3D module supply deal with Hana Optronics, shipping this month
  • - Secures first global robotics reference, boosting next-gen optical market reach

CoAsia CM (196450) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, CoAsia CM Korea, has signed a mass-production supply contract with Hana Optronics, a Time-of-Flight (ToF) semiconductor specialist, for ToF-based 3D sensing camera modules. Initial shipments will begin within this month.

Entering mass production just three months after their June collaboration announcement, the modules will serve as key components in the global robotics supply chain. This marks a critical transition from technical development to commercial mass production in 3D sensing. CoAsia CM Korea plans to leverage this robotics reference to expand its global customer base, diversify application fields, and strengthen partnership with Hana Optronics to develop new applications and clients.

ToF is a core 3D sensing technology that measures the travel time of emitted light to calculate distance and spatial information. Essential for robotic spatial perception and obstacle detection, its application is expanding across robotics, autonomous driving, and wearables. According to Yole Group, the global 3D sensing market is projected to grow from $9.5B in 2024 to $17.6B by 2030 (11% CAGR).

CoAsia CM and CoAsia CM Korea have strategically cultivated next-gen optical technologies as future high-value growth engines. Following its official entry into robotics and optics at June's extraordinary shareholder meeting, the company is also developing stereo depth camera solutions. This successful production launch represents a key milestone in converting future business strategies into actual revenue.

A CoAsia CM Korea representative stated, “Our mobile-proven optical design and manufacturing capabilities have now delivered concrete results in advanced 3D sensing. Powered by this robotics mass-production track record, we will broaden our product portfolio in the AI-driven future optical market.”
